Privacy Framework

Your data is your property. We keep it that way.

The "Zero-Knowledge" Standard

Most websites "protect" your data. EditWordly never obtains it in the first place. By shifting all processing to the client-side (your browser), we eliminate the possibility of data breaches, server-side tracking, or third-party subpoenas.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike traditional web applications, EditWordly is designed to be a "stateless" utility. We do not collect or store the following:

  • No personal identity data
  • No text or code input storage
  • No user accounts or login info
  • No behavioral tracking profiles

2. Technical Execution Details

When you use a tool like the Word Counter or JSON Formatter, here is what happens technically:

  1. Step 1: Local RAM Loading

Your browser downloads the tool's HTML/JS logic. This is the only time communication occurs with our hosting infrastructure.

  2. Step 2: Client-Side Processing

When you paste text, the calculations are performed by your device's CPU. The text is held in your browser's temporary memory (RAM).

  3. Step 3: Immediate Disposal

As soon as you refresh the page or close the browser tab, the memory is cleared. No trace of your work remains anywhere on the internet.

3. Third-Party CDNs and Logs

To ensure high availability and performance across different geographical regions, we use Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to host our script libraries (Tailwind, jQuery, Lucide).

These CDNs may collect standard web logs (IP address, User-Agent) to prevent DDoS attacks and manage traffic. However, these providers cannot see what you type into our tool fields, as that data is never sent over the network.

4. GDPR and International Standards

While we operate globally, our architecture exceeds the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because we do not process "Personal Data" on our servers, there is no data to access, delete, or port.

Our email communication (via m69736956@gmail.com) is the only exception. If you email us, we use that information strictly for correspondence and never for marketing or profiling.

5. Future Policy Changes

As technology evolves, we may add more tools. We pledge that any future tools will follow the same Privacy-by-Design principles. If we ever implement server-side processing for a specific advanced tool, it will be clearly labeled as "Server-Processed" with a separate, specific privacy addendum.
